A priest is someone who in Christian churches has the authority to administer the sacraments. To me and my family a priest is someone who celebrates the sacraments with us and teaches about our faith. Priests are very important to my family, so we help support our parish priests. My family and I support our priests thru many different ways.
My mom is extremely active in the Serra Club of Northwest Texas. Part of the Club's activities is to have a Mass and brunch with the Seminarians at Holy Trinity Seminary. At the brunch, we talk to and try to support the seminarians with anything they need. Also, if you do not know the Serra Club is a Club dedicated to helping and supporting priests and seminarians. The Serra Club has helped my family grow as a family and help many well deserving priests and seminarians.
My family believes that the church is a large part of a young person's life. To help reinforce this we have tried and succeeded at receiving a prayer chalice which is for praying for vocations. As a family we received it and have had it at our house twice in three years. Both times we took back the chalice full of our many prayers. Each time we had a chalice we prayed as a family for vocations. My family has also makes it possible for me to be in the Columbian Squires, which helps raise money for the priests of the diocese.
My family is a family that revolves around our faith, and we try to help the people who teach us our faith, priests. My family, in an effort to help priests, we pray for vocations and help priests in any way that we can help them whenever they need help.
